The Social Scene:
Between 4 wks and 4 mos of age is the best time to introduce a pup lots of positive experiences such as other friendly dogs.  The more a pup is exposed to and sees, smells, hears and touches, the more confident it will become.

Let your puppy meet all sorts of friendly people - wearing hats, glasses, tall, short, children, men with beards, etc.  Not all at once of course.

PICT0353.JPG Stephen is 6'4" standing up.  The pups love to crawl all over him when he's down on the floor with them.  A socialized puppy is fun to have around and is easier to train.  You'll be able to take it anywhere with you.
Be patient and consistent while they're young and you'll have a very well behaved dog you'll enjoy for years to come.
If you have the time, I recommend a "Puppy Obedience Class".  Not only are they loads of fun for you and your puppy but they also teach the basic obedience commands that will be used throughout the dog's life - Sit, Down, Stay, Come and Heel.  It's also a great tool for socializing your pup.
